Good Afternoon!
We offered an ice melting experiment at the round table this morning. It was based on one of our older friends haring about his interest in the “three states of matter”. We decided to explore those states. Kids used warm and cold water to melt the ice. They made observations like “the water was making a hole in the ice” and “the purple water (warm water) works better than the blue”. One friend predicted it would take “ten days” to melt the ice, which luckily did not turn out to be the case![]()
Kids of all ages took part in a sensory/imaginative play activity at the round table. Kids explored utensils and natural materials, creating cooperative play schemas using their imaginations.
We hope you enjoy a few more pictures from our day!
