Good Afternoon!

This morning everyone was engaged in the housekeeping area with dress up clothes and shoes.  They worked on their self help skills, putting the clothes and shoes on independently and walking around the carpet and floor to hear the sounds their shoes made while walking on the different surfaces.

Eliza engaged on her play mat.  She worked at pushing herself up with her arms and really enjoyed her tummy time.

Then we headed outside to enjoy the bright sunny day; exploring the nature, riding bikes and sitting with big sister.

Breakfast:  Corn Chex cereal and banana.

Lunch:  Whole grain brown rice with black beans, banana/oranges and cucumbers.

Afternoon Snack:  Whole grain Wheat Thin crackers and sunflower seeds.

Today was filled with stories and then more stories!  Boy do our littles love to look at books, including our new littlest one!

We then engaged in drawing with markers on big pieces of white paper.  We talked about all the different colors we were using and all the lines we were making.  We enjoyed creating our bright and colorful masterpieces.

Outside, our friends enjoyed the normal activities we do on a daily basis and a few of us tried the floor scooters for something different to move on around the circle.

Breakfast: Overnight hot oatmeal and watermelon.

Lunch: Farm fresh scrambled eggs with shredded cheese,  toasted whole wheat bread with peanut butter, fresh strawberries and cucumbers.

Snack:  Whole grain wheat flatbread with refried beans, cucumbers/watermelon.

Good Afternoon!

James, Millie, and Rowan explored the welcome activity which was a collection of three materials: small and large popsicle sticks, Legos, and colorful bears. They used all three materials to build their own unique creation. While building, they had to tackle spatial problems such as balance and size.

The blue scooters were made available this morning once we got outside which friends took full advantage of! Using the scooters is QUITE the workout! There are several ways in which children can move around on the scooters but all provide great sensory input.

Children were thrilled to see the chalk bin full of new chalk! Immediately, Bo and Daniel grabbed a piece of chalk and took it back to the area in front of the garage. They worked together to draw a ‘dance pad’ which they danced on later once they were done. Throughout the morning, other children came to help them with their dance pad.

Lunch– Farm fresh scrambled eggs with whole wheat tortilla, fresh oranges/strawberries, and fresh cucumber/snap peas.

Today we welcomed our new teacher, Tina!  It was a great morning of getting to know each other and for Tina to start learning our classroom routines.

Good Afternoon!

We always enjoy catching up with one another after a vacation period! We spent the day chatting with one another about how our vacations went, where we went, and what we did. It ended up being the perfect mix of indoor time as well as outside adventures.

Everyone was thrilled to get back into their daily routine!
