Good Afternoon!
This morning we started off our day busy with a variety of toys from the habi-trail area. We were tossing the snowballs around the floor and into a basket. We then moved to the color rings and were wearing them or found that we could balance them on the ballet bar and then watch them slide down between the bar and the mirrors. We then walked and sat on the stepping stones and liquid squares.
We then headed into the kitchen for a shaving cream sensory activity. We added glitter to make our shaving cream sparkle. We used a sponge brush and paint brush to help spread it onto our animals. The animals we had were, a cow, pig, lion and elephant. Miss Bekah asked the older friends which animals belongs on a farm or at the zoo? Emily and Paige did great identifying where they would find each of the animals.
Eliza enjoyed exploring the texture of the dress- up skirt. She also worked her fine motor skills while pulling the books off the bookshelf to look at them.
We then headed outside to ride on the teeter-totters, scoop up the rocks with our hands to place them into a bucket, drive our construction trucks through the rocks and dig and make sand castles in the sandbox using different containers.
Breakfast: Whole grain wheat toast with peanut butter and fresh oranges.
Lunch: Whole grain wheat pasta with red beans, fresh cucumbers and watermelon.
Afternoon Snack: Whole milk yogurt and graham crackers.
Have a marvelous evening!
