Good Afternoon!

Our PREK1 friends came to the sign in board where they chose an animal to draw that lives in the air, on lands, or in the water. Friends were excited to add an animal to the picture. The animals that were drawn by friends ranged from a bee to a giraffe to a shark. All three groups were accounted for!

Science K.4.1: Give examples of plants and animals.

At the art table, we offered a plant and animals sorting activity for both PREK1 and 2 groups.  Kids were asked to think of a plant or an animal they would like to draw.  Some friends drew in each category.  older friends wrote the name of their plant or animal while younger kids had a teacher help write.  We had some wonderful drawing solutions.

PREK2: We read a new book called “Pete the Cat and His Four Groovy Buttons”.  The book introduces early subtraction and the kids enjoyed counting down buttons until Pete had zero left.  We also practiced deep breathing as we pretended to slowly blow a dandelion away.    

Breakfast- Overnight oatmeal with cinnamon and fresh cantaloupe.

Lunch– Farm fresh scrambled eggs, homemade cinnamon apple oatmeal muffins, fresh watermelon/oranges, and fresh cucumber/carrot.

PM snack– Tortilla chips with hummus.

Wee Sprout– Fresh cucumber/carrot.
