Good Afternoon!
We had a great first trip to the farm this morning! Farmer Charlotte showed us all kinds of animals! We got to visit with chickens, mice, snakes and rabbits. We brushed a pony and fed a goat. We learned about each animal as we spent time with them, including what they ate, the parts of a chicken and what it looks like when a snake sheds its skin. After all the learning time in the barn we took a walk in the woods, ran in the meadow and enjoyed a swing on the rope swing. We couldn’t ask for better weather! Hannah commented while eating her farm snack, “I’m sitting here in the grass eating this muffin; what a lovely day!”
Back at school, Anjali asked for help as she wanted to make herself a note to remind herself of a few things for her possible farm trip later in the week! She shared, “I want to make myself a note so that I don’t forget my boots!”. She wrote the words Wednesday, Thursday, and boots!”.
