Happy Wednesday!
**Just as a reminder, we’ll be closed Monday, May 26th for Memorial Day.
While Nora went with Group B to the farm, Lulu, Lucy, Tate, and Maya stayed back at Wee Wee. We loved reading stories together. Lulu’s new favorite phrase: “What’s that?!” The curiosity of toddlers is always at a high. They want to know what something is, why things happen, and where certain people are.
Our friend Eren has since moved on to Wee Friends next door. While this is only our first week without Eren, everyday at the lunch table Lulu will ask, “Where’s Eren?” Even at a young age, these kids are forming connections, making bonds.
While older friends were taking their naps, Tate and Maya hung out in the kitchen where they worked with magnatiles. They loved knocking down Miss Mindy’s towers!
For breakfast, children had malt-o-meal with apples. Lunch consisted of hummus on whole wheat buns, strawberries, and green peppers. PM snack was cheddar cheese and pretzels.
Have a great night!

FIRST OFF…REMINDER…GROUP A (older preschoolers) have their field trip to Potato Creek Nature Center tomorrow, Thursday, May 22nd. The Nature Center kindly worked to fit us into their packed schedule so we could explore our current interest in taxidermy. This means we have to be there EARLY. The Weehicle will be pulling out at 8:15 and if you would like to join us at Potato Creek, you can meet us at the Nature Center. (There is a car entry fee at the gate.)
Today we took our younger kids to the farm. It was a fabulous trip and the kids all did great! Everyone relished in the strange smells, animal explorations, & squishy mud. We certainly have an excellent group of budding farmers!
There is the Farm Trip photos on this and I’ll post a second blog with the classroom pics back at WF. Enjoy![]()
Breakfast was cheerios and banana. Wee Sprouts were radishes and cherry tomatoes. Lunch was hummus on whole wheat, orange slices and fresh steamed broccoli. Snack will be peanuts and bananas.
Have a great day!

Good Afternoon!
With a few of our friends down for their morning naps, we decided to go for a walk. Nora and Lulu joined Miss Mindy as we walked around the neighborhood. We picked a few dandelions along the way.
Nora and Lulu spotted various beautiful flowers along the street. We talked about the colors that we saw too. A few things I heard on our walk:
“Miss Mindy, it’s bumpy!” (referring to the sidewalk)
“I hear a doggie barking!”
“I see two squirrels.”
With the beautiful scenery, lovely weather, and awesome company, we were all smiles!
Lucy and friends enjoyed the tunnel this afternoon after naptime. Laughter could be heard around the block!
Taters had a photo shoot with himself. After Miss Mindy took the picture, we’d look back at it and he giggled when he saw himself on the camera screen
.
For breakfast, children had eggs with cheese and strawberries. Lunch consisted of ham and cheese tortillas, green grapes/strawberries, and fresh red peppers. PM snack was string cheese and raisins.
Have a wonderful evening!

Happy Friday!
Today, we say goodbye to two of our friends.
Eren is heading across the bridge on Monday where he’s going to become apart of Wee Friends. He has been visiting over the last month and we can already tell he’s going to feel right at home. We’ve watched Eren grow and become just an amazing little man. From starting in September 2012 to today, there has been so much growth in all aspects of Eren’s life. We’re excited to watch him continue to blossom next door
. We’ll miss you Kemal, Shelia, and Eren!
We say goodbye to Henri who is going to be staying at home with his momma and older brother Leo. Since January, we’ve seen this little boy grow into a strong and tough kid. Between his faster than lightning crawling and kissy faces, he will surely be missed. We all love you buddy! Come visit us soon!
For breakfast, children had toast with butter and cinnamon along with nectarines. Lunch consisted of hummus on tortillas, mixed vegetables, and banana. PM snack was pretzels and cheddar cheese.
WF 5/16 Friday
“The sun did not shine, it was too wet to play.
So we [played] in that house all that cold, cold, wet day.
[We sat there, Wee Friends, in twos and in threes,
And we stared out the window, ‘til Tami said “Please!”
“Take a run ‘round our circle, breath in deep, breath in long.
Don’t worry about raindrops-let your bodies grow strong!”
So we did just that, we ran and we ran. Then back to our classrooms, and the learning at hand.
We say goodbye to Leo today! We love you Leo! Come back and visit us soon.
Have a great weekend. –Laurie
