WF Thursday 12/5

Yesterday’s blog!  Sorry, it failed to post!

003

Hello there!

A large group obstacle course began our Wee day.

014

Sit and Spin three times, hang upside down on the trapeze and race through the tunnel!

008

We set out Montessori beads again today. Friends counted forward and backward. One friend counted, in tens, to 120. Another friend raised a city building, and another, a pyramid. Friends used the beads to create shapes and a choo-choo track.

A few of our older friends have spent lots of time this week at the island, researching favorite subjects and writing letters, words, pictures and numbers to develop their literacy project.

005

Several friends spent time together creating structures with linking shapes.

048

At the art table,  we sorted, stacked, jingled , jumbled, stuffed and counted sparkly tubes.

069

Lisa worked with a few friends, transcribing a story that they created together.

058

There were inquiries happening in every corner of the classroom.

Good Afternoon!

**This was yesterdays (12/3) blog. However, for some reason it didn’t post. So here it is! Smile

It has been a busy but FABULOUS day here in Wee Wee land.

There were various parts to the day.

Friends loved painting coffee filters with different blue paints with sparkles! We loved the sparkles! Smile

As friends headed out of the kitchen when they were finished painting, children gathered in the gross motor area where Tate lead the way with his new found mobility!

Coloring was next on our agenda. We took turns with different colors. Friends requested different colors and we made sure to ‘share’ with each other.

IMG_1913IMG_1914

Then came letters. Children picked up a letter and we talked about the color of the letter along with words that started with that specific letter (m for mommy, Maya).

A friend requested the magnatiles. They are quite interesting and can be difficult. However, we’ve been getting the hang of it! Emma built a car track while Eve built a tower!

Our ‘babes’ say have a great night Smile.

Happy Wednesday!

Our babies spent their Wednesday working on their sitting up abilities. They did an excellent job! It’s amazing to see the continuing growth of each child day after day!

IMG_1780IMG_1781IMG_1789

Eve and Lu-Lu read stories most of the morning! The house was quite quiet with numbers being low. We all got excellent story time and naps.
