Good Afternoon and Happy Friday!

We had no problems chasing our rainy day blues away today! Boy Oh Boy, did we keep busy!?!?!

We got our bodies up and  moving with a dance party. We heard our “Hair Up” song from the trolls soundtrack and put our hair up in the air.

We then had a great time with helping a friend celebrate her second birthday today by making playdoh birthday cakes. Our candles were golf tees! We all had such a good time.

Then we used our new alphabet foam floor letters to create the alphabet and make a long puzzle train. We each found our the letter of our first name and stood on it! We even found a ABC song on the computer to listen to! What a great day!!!

Happy Friday!

There was so much going on this morning! The art table saw several different activities form this morning.

The first activity that children requested was bead bracelets! Children love making bead bracelets using pipe cleaners and colorful beads. Not only is this a great fine motor exercise but friends love implementing either their favorite colors or a pattern and sometimes even a word.

Of course, the first thing children think about is who they’re going to make their bracelet for (and it’s usually either mom or dad! Smile)

Later on in the morning, Miss Annastecia helped most of our kindergarteners with origami! Friends were able to complete three origami creations: star box, swan, and butterfly!

Good Afternoon!

**Please bring a swimsuit for your child by next Wednesday, July 21st. Thanks!

We had a long line of friends waiting for a turn at the art table where children explored with two water colors. They used eye droppers to transfer water from jar to jar and worked on their pouring skills! Some friends explored this activity for over 30 minutes!

While Mack and Franklin waited for a turn at the art table, they decided they wanted to make a maze using dominos. Once their maze was complete, they took colored teddy bears and had them travel throughout the maze.

We went outside and children immediately dispersed into various parts of the outdoor environment.

A large group of friends stationed themselves in the sandbox where they worked together to form a large sand pile. Children created little holes on the side of the hill. The holes connected to one another and formed a really cool maze!

Happy Wednesday! I hope you are all enjoying a day without any rain!!!

This morning Paige was excited about climbing up on the soft star climber. She is able to work on strengthening her gross motor skills as well as her cognitive skills to figure out how to successfully climb up! She was also working hard on picking up the half circle soft star.

We then started listening to the song, We are the dinosaurs (marching), which then led into playing with our musical shakers/bells. We have a bell that sounds a lot like a Christmas bell, so Miss Bekah sang Jingle Bells. Smile

Arthur had a great time enjoying the outdoors and a few of the Wee Friends came over to hang out with him. I’m pretty confident everyone involved enjoys the friendships.

Good Afternoon!

The light table was made available in the science area this morning. Children chose to grab the jar full of colorful shapes and use them on the light table. A few children chose to sort the shapes into groups while others chose to make a creation using various shapes.

The art table was a busy place as friends used many different materials along with the classics like paper and markers. Rowan used old marker caps on her creation and worked really hard at attaching them to her paper!

We were able to get quite a bit of outside time this morning before we got poured on! Children scattered throughout the yard, exploring spaces and becoming engaged in specific activities.

Our wee wee friends are getting older and love getting to hand out with their older wee friend peers! We have so many sibling pairs between the two sites and the outside time is a great time for them to catch up with one another.

Is there anything better than running in the rain? Truly. Children had an absolute blast running in the rain for a few minutes, trying to catch rain drops on their tongues. What a fun and joyful experience!

Good Afternoon.

This morning Arthur was working on strengthening his core and leg muscles by standing with Miss Bekah. He is doing a great job.

Our friend Adrian wore a cool dino shirt today, so we decided to extend the dino theme into painting with our play dino’s! We had a fun time pressing their feet into the colorful paint and then stomping the dino feet onto our paper. We had a great time.

We kicked off our week by welcoming our newest friend, Imogen! Imogen visited us a few weeks ago so our friends were excited to see her back today!

Children got right into their normal routines. The circle table was busy with pattern blocks and puzzles while the building rug was occupied with magnatile creations.
