Happy Monday!
In K/PREK1, we continued reading ‘Charlotte’s Web’. We were excited to hear that Franklin had been reading it along with us from home! We started in on chapter 6 today. Before we dove into the chapter, we discussed what happened in chapter 5 on Friday.
The book is proving to increase our vocabulary skills (and comprehension!) as there are several words that we have not heard of before and children are quick to ask what new words mean.

In PREK2, friends played ka-boom. Each friend got a turn to pull a popsicle stick and identify the letter that was written on the stick. If anyone pulled the KA-BOOM stick, everyone had to put their stick back in and start all over.

At the art table, friends gathered as Miss Annastecia read ‘I Ain’t Gonna Paint No More!’. Afterwards, children chose to paint with either a ribbon or a feather! The strokes were much different than a regular paint brush which peaked our interest.

Week by week, we’re getting a few friends back—our classroom has that ‘almost back to normal’ feeling. We can’t wait to be reunited with all of our friends who are still at home, spending time with family.
We miss you and appreciate EVERYONE as we continue to navigate our new normal (at least for the time being
).
I found this and wanted to share as the message is simple but complex at the same time:
“Above all else, recognize that you have nothing to lose by making others feel worthy of love.”
-Kristin Lohr
