Lunch– Brown rice with lentils, broccoli/cauliflower, and pineapple.

We rotated new puzzles into the classroom today! Anna and Rosemary have shown a big interest in puzzles this week and were very excited to see new ones. They finished every single one!

Most of the puzzles were about animals. Rosemary and Anna identified the ones they knew and told us what sound they make. Some of the pieces were animals they weren’t familiar with and the girls were happy to learn about them.

Breakfast was whole grain oatmeal and pears. Lunch consisted of tortillas with refried beans and cheese, pears, and broccoli. Afternoon snack was rice cakes with hummus.

This morning, Anna played with the transparent color blocks. She held them up to her face one by one to see everything in that color. And when she was done, she proudly stacked them together biggest to smallest!

Rosemary and Anna wanted to play dress up this afternoon. They each have their favorites items and they’re getting very good at putting them on by themselves!

Breakfast was Kix and pears. Lunch consisted of whole wheat flat bread with chicken, kiwi, and mixed vegetables. Afternoon snack was crackers with cheddar cheese.

Good Afternoon!

This morning, friends started working on a special project! Each child got a turn at the table to use two different shades of blue as well as white to start their creation!

Anna and Rosemary came over for a little while this morning from Wee Wee Friends! Rosemary will be visiting the next two weeks as she will start full time after vacation. Our friends were super inviting and helpful as they showed Anna and Rosemary around our environment.

We used all different kinds of blocks this morning to build with. Cooperation was a big key in this process. Friends used their words to express ideas they were having concerning the building process.

After gathering in the reading area, we stretched out our vocal cords as we practiced singing a few special songs. We discussed that even if you don’t know the words to the song, humming along is perfectly fine! – SmileSmile

Rosemary enjoyed kitchen activities this morning. She started with a tub full of a mixture of birdseed and rice. She liked grabbing big handfuls and feeling it fall through her fingers. She also used a spoon and cups to dump the birdseed into bowls.

This afternoon was music time! We got out shakers. Anna and Rosemary chose to run theirs up and down the xylophone.

Breakfast was whole wheat toast with butter and cinnamon and pears. Lunch consisted of whole wheat pasta with red beans, pears, and corn. Afternoon snack was organic whole milk yogurt and pretzels.
