WF Tuesday 3/10

ANNOUNCEMENT: As temperatures rise and snow melts, our outside time has started to get a little wetter! We ask that families please bring in 3-4 pairs of pants and 3-4 pairs of socks so that friends have some dry clothes to change into.

In addition, we would love any donations of size 3-5T pants (especially sweatpants) socks and underwear to replenish our extra bin. We would appreciate anything you have to offer, no matter how worn. Thank you!

Annabelle is moving everywhere. Anna is definitely showing David and Annabelle the advantages of being mobile!

Anna was ecstatic as she crawled up the stairs, around the habitrail, and down the slide.

It’s amazing to watch these little personalities come out day after day!

WF Wednesday 3/4 Getting Some Fresh Air!

Cool winter temperatures have kept us inside for most the past few weeks, so whenever it is warm enough to go outside, we eagerly take the chance for some fresh air.

First, older friends gather a pile with all their outside essentials: hat, mittens, coat, snow pants, and boots.  Once they have everything they need, they get ready themselves.

Teachers help younger friends by gathering their outdoor clothing and assisting when needed. Many friends are becoming more and more independent; Eren has mastered putting on his snow pants by himself!

Once friends are dressed for outside, they sit on the music rug and wait for a teacher to open the door.

Then it’s time to play in the snow!

Happy March!

Rosemary, Nahla, and Maya were fascinated with the pianos this morning. The three of them shared two pianos and did a great job at taking turns with one another. Friends love to make sounds whether it’s with instruments or their bodies (stomping, clapping).

Maya has been in a stomping mood where she’ll walk around the house while loudly stomping her feet. A few children tagged along this morning.

IMG_4956IMG_4947IMG_4955

We worked in the gross motor area where friends moved their bodies throughout the environment. It’s quite a special time when our baby friends learn to climb up the stairs so they can enjoy the habitrail with their older peers!
